Destination Canada hosts the annual Explore Canada Awards of Excellence to honour outstanding pieces of content and the efforts made to bring them to life.

There are three award categories this year: 

To recognize excellence in media relations and storytelling, Canadian tourism professionals are invited to submit their work for consideration in an industry-specific category.

As an evolution from previous years, rather than placing the focus on one prescribed tactic (such as best itinerary or best campaign), this all-encompassing award allows candidates to submit their complete approach. We invite candidates to outline how they used media relations to tell their destination’s story so that it can be evaluated and recognized based on their specific goals and the results achieved.

Submission criteria will be published in March.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 1, 2020.
